The market is full of hand-made lip balm... its relatively easy to make yourself and doesn't require fancy preservatives.

A few claim to be the best, but those who do are ususally strikingly similar to each other if you get out your glasses and start reading lables.

So when we name our lipbalm "Awesome," what makes us so different that our claim has any basis?

Because we work from the theory of healing as well as moisturizing. Plain Vaseline™ will moistuize you lips adequately, but if you are stuck in icy cold air-conditioning or harsh wind, then you KNOW that moisturiaing alone is just not enough to prevent chapped and flaking lips.

The skin on your lips is different from the rest of your body -- its thinner and has no sweat glands. Your saliva is drying, so you don't want to lick your lips. Flavored or sweetened lipbalm actually makes things worse if you tend to lick off the taste.

Our lpbalm starts with a base of beeswax and rich cocoa and mango butter... then we add healing EFA and anti-oxidant rich oils like tamanu, hemp, jojoba and vitamin E. To help with rough chapped skin, we include a generous infusion of healing herbs and then some natural based sunscreens for protection.

What's in it: Beeswax, Coconut Oil, Cocoa Butter, Olive Oil infused with Comfrey, Marshmallow Root, Calendula, Chamomile & Plantain; Jojoba Oil, Meadowfoam Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Mango Butter, OM-Cinnamate, Hemp Seed Oil, Tamanu Oil, Fractionated Coconut Oil (and) Orchid Flower Extract, Zinc Oxide USP, Rosemary Leaf Extract, Tocopherol (Vit E), Sweet Orange Oil and Tea Tree Oil.
